Mr. Harwood is a geologist with over 11 years of experience in
environmental consulting working with private and public sector
clients. He has an advanced degree specializing in sedimentology/stratigraphy
and coastal environments with a background in hydrogeology. Mr.
Harwood's experience includes planning and implementing groundwater
and other environmental investigations, including Preliminary
Assessments(PA), Site Investigations(SI), Remedial Investigations(RI),
and Underground Storage Tank(UST) closures at a wide range of
sites. His responsibilities include assisting in proposal development,
developing project plans, negotiating and coordinating with clients
and regulatory agencies, managing subcontractors, supervising
and implementing environmental investigations, evaluating data,
and producing final reports.
Mr. Harwood's experienced in a wide variety of field activities
including supervising the installation of monitoring wells (overburden
and bedrock) and test borings, collection of soil and water samples
(including direct push and low-flow purging/sampling techniques),
excavation of underground storage tanks, and field screening surveys
(immunoassay and soil vapor assessments).
