Mr. Mertz has more than 10 years experience as an environmental
consultant and has worked on a broad range of projects. His experience
includes design, installation, and maintenance of groundwater
recovery and treatment systems, Phase I, Preliminary Assessments(PA),
Phase I I and Site Investigation (SI) activities, Remedial Investigation
and Remedial Action design and implementation, project research,
data reduction, report and proposal preparation, subcontractor
solicitation and bid evaluation.
His wide range experience includes remedial implementation, supervision
of tank closure, conducting site inspections and investigations,
collection of soil and groundwater samples, test pit excavation,
soil borings, well installation, and waste characterization. During
field activities, responsibilities include subcontractor oversight,
health and safety supervision, sample management, and emergency
response.
